Beauty to Die For: "Pink is Every Girl's Best Friend"
I think every girl can pull off pink in her face's "wardrobe." Today this is the look I came up with. The camera quality isn't 100% but the eyeshadow is actually a darker shade & it's sparkly, same as my lips! Grrrrrrr. I did my lips in a dark shade, just to really add to the "drama." It's hard for me to ever do anything subtly, it's just not a part of my personality. I would wear this look out to a club or some type of partyish event.
"Make-up isn't to hide your flaws, it's to enhance your beauty, & to paint your canvas. It's all about having fun."

Music to die for: "Hanson Used to MMM MY BOP IN THE 90's!"
I remember back in middle school lovingggggg Hanson! (I think it was middle school, the point is, it was years ago). That MMM BOP song REALLY did "MMM MY BOP." It was one of my favorite songs! (Matter of fact, I feel like listening to it now.) It's sad but, I actually forgot about Hanson after they fell off the map (you know how that goes though)... Anyhow, I was playing Words With Friends (FREE VERSION), and an AD popped up that said, "Hanson Give a little" so I thought, "Hmm, that's worth checkin' out." Needless to say, I thank Words With Friends for 'Givin' A Little' by reuniting me with my old loves - Hanson. I remember having a huge crush on that band... hey, they were some cuties!
Check out their latest single, "Give a little" It's prettin' effin' rockin'!
This is what I call a "feel good" song. It just makes you feel good while listening to it! It's got a catchy beat, catchy lyrics, and super upbeat instrumentals. This song is something I'd listen to before an interview, before class, or waking' up to get my day started. It just makes you want to move around and do the Charleston (or maybe that's just me?)
What do you think? Does it make you wanna Give a Little? ;)

Culture to Die For: "Top Black Stereotypes (Texas EDITION)"
So I was thinking about stereotypes that I hateee that are related to being a black person. Being that I'm a brown skinned chic, I've heard ALL the original ones about chicken and watermelon. But since I live in Texas, I've heard MORE since every area has their own sub-categorized stereotypes. These are the most stupid and ignorant things I could come up with.
And the list begins...
- All black people love watermelon
- All black people eat chicken (especially KFC, it’s finger lickin’ good!)
- All black people speak in Ebonics
- All black men have at least 1 kid, or 1 on the way
- All black baby mamas are gold diggin’, loud, & have the baby’s daddy on child support just to buy herself some clothes, while her baby suffers
- All black people have watched the following movies: Malcolm X, The Color Purple, Baby Boy, Friday
- All black people have at least one friend/relative or knows somebody nicknamed, “Pooh”, “Pookie”
- All black people drink (or drank) koo-laid
- All black people use grease
- All black people did/do one of the following: run track, play basketball, play football
- All black men want to be rappers
- All black people made it to college off of a sports scholarship
- All black girls wore barrettes growing up
- All black women wear weave (because black women can’t grow long hair)
- All black people have eaten the following: neck bones, collared greens, hammocks, gizzards
- All black people grew up in the hood
- All black people hate the police because they know at least 1 person in jail
- All black (stud) lesbians work at: Walmart, some retail joint, or UPS
- All black men are thugs or gang bangers
- All black people can’t swim
- All black people hate the sun
- All black men want Pit Bulls or Rottweilers
- All black women are gold diggers
- All black people can dance
- All black people love rap & hip hop
- All black women with long hair MUST be wearing weave
- All black people with curly hair MUST be bi-racial (mom & pops mixed)
What kind of idiotic stereotypes have you heard of because of your race? Are stereotypes different in your state? Fill me in!

Style to Die For: "I Fell in Love With a Purseeee"
First I must say, this purse is smokinnnnn'. My cute little certified diva niece found this purse a while ago at a garage sale. She was what, 5 then? It's pretty intense when a 5 year old has "the eye." You know what I'm talkin' about to. The eye knows when something is vintage or even tacky, yet still very capable of being made stylish.
I was in a dilemma because I wanted it soooo badly when I saw her with it! The rebel in me immediately conjured up some thoughts. I didn't know if I should have A)asked her for it, B)bribed her for it with some money (a dollar is a lot to kids) or C)just take it. Of course I'm not a bully, so I couldn't just take it. My options were soiled. Time flew by and I ended up forgetting about the purse, and apparently she did too. (insert evil grin here) She ended up flying back home (Michigan, I'm in Texas) without her purse.
It's currently hanging in my room. If she ends up wanting it back, of course I'm obligated to give it back, but while it's here... we'll hang real tight for a bit. ;)
Music to Die For: "Holy Moly Me Oh My" Couldn't Find This Song, Finally Found it!
I hate when I'm outta the loop on good bands! But hey, better late than never.
Briefing: I hadn't heard the original version of this song before. I was on YouTube & originally heard the cover version a few months ago done by this dynamic Father daughter duo, and instantly fell in love. (I will admit the adorable little girl added a touch of heaven to this song!) Despite her cuteness, this song is still bangin'.
Check out both versions, you won't be disappointed:
The super cute cover version by: Jorge & Alexa Narvaez (YouTube account)
The super rad version by: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (Band Website)
I can't say which I like better because it's like comparing apples to oranges!
Same food group, but totally different flavor.
What do you think?
